Radin Consulting, Inc., a transportation planning and design firm is looking for a full-time Electrical/Systems Engineer to join the Capital Program Execution Team for our major client in Washington, DC. The Team provides ongoing project support for all phases of Project Initiation, Development and Evaluation, Preliminary Engineering, Final Design, Construction and Closeout. Due to COVID, the position is temporarily remote. However, the position will be based at Client Offices in downtown Washington DC when restrictions are lifted. 1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering related field with a minimum of 5 years related experience (or equivalent working knowledge/experience).
2. Experience in transit facilities and/or systems engineering.

Job Summary:

1. Under limited supervision, performs a variety of assignments in support of the planning and implementation of a Capital Program and capital projects for Rail Systems – Train Control, Propulsion, Signals and Communications.
2. The candidate must be capable of exercising independent judgment in evaluating, selecting and applying standard engineering techniques and procedures, project development and project management principles while working in a diverse workplace.

Major Duties:

1. Participates in the delivery of transit engineering projects.
2. Performs technical reviews of calculations, plans, drawings, specifications, schedules and costs.
3. Prepares Statement of Works, Work Plans, issue logs, risk management plans and assists with the development of schedules and development of costs.
4. Prepares weekly and monthly progress reports of successes and issues.
5. Leads and coordinates follow up discussions, and handles requests from Project Leads, Engineering and Construction personnel, consultants, and others.
6. Other duties as assigned.
