Radin Consulting, Inc. is looking for a Senior Transportation/Environmental Planner. Radin provides planning and engineering consulting services and is looking for a candidate who can fill this role. The position has the flexibility or being full-time or part-time and is in the New York Metropolitan Area.
Primary duties will include preparing planning studies/reports with a focus on regulatory compliance and technical adequacy with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA); reviewing design plans for assessing environmental impacts; applying green design principles; and coordinating with clients, stakeholders, resource agencies, and environmental and technical staff. The ability to work independently is critical.

1. Prepare documents, reports, presentation, technical memorandum, and other work products with a focus on NEPA and State regulatory compliance and technical adequacy
2. Review design plans for potential environmental impacts and sustainable (green) applications
3. Interface with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders
4. Oversee all aspects of a project including client contact, budget control and invoicing, scheduling, and technical analyses
5. Environmental Permitting experience a plus


1. Bachelors’ degree or higher in planning, environmental studies, transportation, and/or related field.
2. 8+ years of project management and/or professional related experience in a transportation consulting environment.
3. Advanced knowledge and understanding of NEPA, and other federal and state environmental regulations.
4. Certified planner (AICP) preferred.

3. Excellent organization, schedule, and budget management skills
4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

6. Willingness to travel for meetings and as required by projects
