Depending on how you interact with SIAEA, we may collect:

• Contact information — name, email address, mailing address and mobile phone number.
• Account information — sign-in credentials, profile photo, bio, professional details (company, job title, resume) and preferences.
• Membership information — plan tier, professional qualifications, employer and educational background, statement of interest and membership status.
• Event registrations and ticket purchases — attendee names, emails, phone numbers, companies, ticket type, quantity, seating and check-in status.
• Sponsorships and donations — sponsor name, contact, selected tier and, where applicable, logo and website.
• Scholarship applications — applicant details and any supporting materials you submit.
• Payment information — payment information is processed by secure third-party payment providers and is not stored directly by SIAEA unless specifically stated. We may retain limited transaction metadata such as an invoice number, amount, date and provider reference.
• Cookies and analytics — cookies, local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences and understand aggregate site usage.

• Operate your account and the member portal.
• Process membership applications, event registrations, ticket purchases, sponsorships and donations.
• Send informational and transactional communications by email or SMS relating to your account and activity (see Section 4).
• Review and process scholarship applications.
• Improve our website, programs and member services.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions.

SIAEA does not share, sell, rent, or provide your mobile phone number, text messaging originator opt-in data, or messaging consent to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This information is never shared with third parties for their own marketing.

We collect your mobile phone number and SMS consent only when you affirmatively check an unchecked opt-in box on a SIAEA web form (account sign-up, membership application, or event registration). We use that information solely to send you informational and transactional SMS messages from SIAEA about your membership, event registrations, ticket purchases, payment confirmations, event reminders, scholarship communications, account verification and organizational announcements.

Mobile numbers and consent records are shared only with our SMS delivery provider strictly to transmit the messages you requested, under contractual confidentiality obligations, and never for that provider’s own marketing or promotional purposes.

• Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe; reply HELP for assistance.
• Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of any purchase, event registration, or membership.

We share information only as needed to operate SIAEA:

• Service providers who host our site, process payments, deliver email or SMS, or provide analytics, under contractual confidentiality obligations.
• Event partners strictly to the extent necessary to run a specific event (for example, a venue check-in list).
• Legal, safety or compliance disclosures when required by law or to protect SIAEA, our members or the public.

We do not sell your personal information. Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data and messaging consent are excluded from all sharing above except transmission by our SMS delivery provider, and are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Payment card details are collected and processed by our third-party payment providers using their secure, PCI-compliant systems. SIAEA does not store full card numbers, CVVs, or bank account credentials on its own servers unless specifically stated for a given feature.

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security on member data and audit logging of privileged actions. No system is perfectly secure, so we encourage you to use a strong password and to keep your credentials confidential.

We retain your information for as long as your account or membership is active and as needed to comply with our legal, financial and reporting obligations. You may request deletion of your account at any time, subject to records we are required to keep.

• Access, correct or update your profile information from the member portal.
• Withdraw SMS consent at any time by replying STOP to any message.
• Unsubscribe from non-transactional emails using the unsubscribe link.
• Request a copy or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the address below.

SIAEA services are intended for adults and older students engaging with our scholarship programs. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page and, when appropriate, by additional notice to members.
